2) Trackball

You can also use a trackball to operate your computer instead of a mouse. Besides the buttons on this device, it also has the buttons of a mouse.

It has a moving ball on top. The trackball body is not moved. Fingers are used to roll the ball. Rotation of the ball controls the position of the cursor on the screen.

Compared with a mouse, the trackball takes up less space when moving. Laptop computers often come with a trackball. In addition to the mouse, desktop computers use a trackball as a separate input device.

3) Touchpad/ Trackpad

Touchpads are small, flat surfaces that enable users to move their fingers over them. By moving his fingers on the touchpad, the user moves the cursor on the screen. You can also call it a trackpad.

There are also one or more buttons near a touchpad. It works like a mouse button. With notebook computers, touchpads are commonly used.

Pointing sticks are pressure-sensitive devices. Similar to a pencil eraser, it exits between keys on the keyboard. With the pointing stick in use, the screen's pointer moves as well. It does not require any extra space or cleaning like a mouse. With notebook computers, a pointing stick is usually used.

Generally, a graphics tablet consists of a flat pad that the user draws on using a pen called a stylus. As the user draws on the pad, the image appears on the screen. Designers can make very precise drawings with a graphics tablet. Alternatively, it is called a digitizer.

Using a touchscreen, users can input information by touching the display. The screen is covered with a layer of plastic. At the back of the screen, there are undetectable beams of infrared light. To enter data, the user touches menus and icons on the screen. A touchscreen computer detects the touch of the user's finger using sensors.

7) Light Pen

It is a handheld device that looks like a pen. The stylus is light-sensitive. Light pens are connected to computers by wires. At the tip, there is a device that emits light. A special screen on which the pen is used sends information to the computer when the user touches it in certain areas. I usually use a light pen for engineers, graphic designers, and illustrators.

There are two parts to a joystick: a stick and a base. You can move the stick in several directions to move an object anywhere on the screen. Similar to a mouse or trackball, a joystick can perform similar functions. Often, it is considered less comfortable and efficient. Generally, joysticks are used for playing computer games.

Stylus pens are similar to ballpoint pens. To write text and draw lines, it uses pressure. Alternatively, it was called a pen. In graphical applications, a stylus is used. Architects, artists, and designers use it to draw and sketch.
